Everything that comes standard with a Smileshine Entertainment DJ booking.

Professional Sound System

Two speakers and two subwoofers (indoor events) for crystal-clear, properly balanced sound, plus two wireless handheld microphones for speeches and announcements.

Dancefloor Lighting

Intelligent 6-foot light totems synced perfectly with the music, with no polka dots, lasers, or photo-ruining lighting. Uplighting is available as an add-on.

You Choose The Music

Custom cues for your introductions, first dance, cake cutting, and parent dances, plus a Must-Play, Try-to-Play, and Do-Not-Play list to shape the whole night.

Emcee Services Included

Announcements, introductions, and keeping the reception on schedule, so there's no need to hire a separate emcee.

Real Planning, Together

A minimum of two consultation meetings, in-person or by video call, to go over every detail so you can focus on getting married on the day.

About Us

Meet your
DJ + Emcee

Hi, I'm Ryan! I started my DJ passion back in 2018 at 14 years old, playing small sets of my favourite music for family and friends. That passion only grew from there, and during COVID it was what kept me entertained, honing my mixing skills.

My first ever performance in front of a crowd was in 2022, at my high school's semi-formal. Since then, I've had the pleasure of celebrating the special moments in people's lives, weddings, proms, school events, corporate events, and more.

My philosophy is simple: I play the music you ask for, with actual live mixing of your favourite music, ensuring everything meets and exceeds your expectations.

I'm so excited to meet, celebrate, and party with you for the next big chapter in your life! Based in Barrie, proudly serving couples and clients across Simcoe County and beyond.

How far in advance should I book a wedding DJ in Barrie?

Popular wedding dates in Simcoe County get booked up well over a year in advance, especially for Saturdays in the summer and fall. Reaching out as soon as you have a date and venue locked in gives you the best chance of securing it.

Do you take song requests?

Yes. Before the event, you'll build a Must-Play list, a Try-to-Play list, and a Do-Not-Play list so the night's music matches your taste exactly. Guests can also make requests on the day, worked in around your must-plays.

Do you also act as the emcee, or do I need to hire someone separately?

Emcee services are included with every DJ booking. Ryan handles announcements, introductions, and keeping the reception running on schedule, so you don't need to hire a separate emcee.
